NSI-MI's offers a large variety of Spherical Near-Field Antenna Measurement Systems of various sizes and configurations. The most common is the “Roll over Azimuth” systems where the AUT is mounted on the Roll positioner, which in turn is mounted on an L-bracket, mounted on a Theta positioner. In this case, the AUT is required to move for both the Theta and Roll motions, and the probe remains fixed.

NSI-MI’s offers a large variety of Spherical Near-Field Antenna Measurement Systems of various sizes and configurations. The most common is the “Roll over Azimuth” systems where the AUT is mounted on the Roll positioner, which in turn is mounted on an L-bracket, mounted on a Theta positioner. In this case, the AUT is required to move for both the Theta and Roll motions, and the probe remains fixed.

The second configuration we support is the “Swing Arm over Azimuth” configuration. In this configuration, the probe is moved in an arc above the antenna to provide the Theta motion, and the AUT is mounted on a positioner and rotated to provide the Phi motion.

A third configuration we support is the “Stationary AUT” configuration, where the probe is moved to provide both the Swing and Roll motions, and the AUT remains fixed. This is ideal when rotating the AUT is difficult or impossible.

The forth “Arch over Azimuth” is accomplished by rotating the Antenna Under Test (AUT) on an azimuth positioning system while elevation scans are accomplished using a near-field probe mounted on the arch carriage

Roll over azimuth

0.25 m – 3.0 m max AUT Dimension

Roll over azimuth scanner systems are ideal systems for measuring medium and low gain antennas up to 118 inches (3 m) in diameter and are ideally suited to perform cellular and PCS band base-station antenna testing.

Stationary AUT

Stationary AUT Scanner Systems are ideal system for measuring radiation characteristics of non-moving antennas.
